Privacy Policy — Orchestrate Apps

This policy covers the Orchestrate mobile apps (including The Sober Sommelier, Blackspot and Sixword) and the Orchestrate account service behind them.

What we collect

• Account data — if an app offers "Login with Orchestrate", your email address and a unique account identifier, managed through Microsoft Entra External ID. Many of our apps work entirely without an account; where sign-in exists it is only required for the features that genuinely need it.
• Content you create in an app — for example tasting notes and drink ratings (The Sober Sommelier), venue reports (Blackspot), or the six-word stories you choose to post to the shared feed (Sixword — posts are public by design and shown with the pen-name you choose).
• Nothing else. Our apps contain no advertising or tracking SDKs, and we do not collect your location, contacts, or device identifiers for profiling.

How we use it

Solely to provide the app's features: keeping your account working, syncing your own content, and showing community features you take part in. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

AI features

Some features send the specific content you submit (for example a photo you ask an app to identify, or a short text you post for moderation) to our AI providers — Anthropic and OpenAI — to process that request. Under our API agreements this content is not used to train their models.

Where your data lives

On infrastructure hosted by DigitalOcean in the United Kingdom (London), with authentication handled by Microsoft Entra External ID (UK data residency). Data is encrypted in transit.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account exists. Deleting your account removes your account record and the content linked to it (public community posts are removed from the feed).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can access, export, correct or delete your data. Every signed-in app offers data export and account deletion in-app, or see how to delete your account. For anything else, contact us and we'll respond within one month.

Children

Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and Orchestrate accounts are not offered to them.
